Copper exported from Armenia to China and Switzerland registered growth

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 4, ARMENPRESS: The exportion of copper ore from the
Republic of Armenia to China and Switzerland has been increased
reportedly with 6 times as compared with 2011 . State Committee of
the Real Estate adjunct to the Government told Armenpress, 8 million
892 thousand 600 kilograms copper core was exported to China during
the year. The exported copper custom value amounted 15 million 693
thousand 900 US dollars. 26 thousand 753 tons of copper ore was
exported to Switzerland in comparison with 16 thousand 279, 7 tons
compared with previous year data. Custom value of the copper
amounted 45 million 793, 1 thousand US dollars.

Head of Chair of International Economic Relations Doctor of Economical
Sciences, Professor Toros Torosyan told Armenpress, the colored metals
are mainly used in radio and electronic industry. ”China gives
impetus to the development of innovative technologies during the
recent years, reportedly colored metals are in great demand”. Head of
Chair considers the expansion of watch production in China has
contributed to the growth of registered export. According to Torosyan
China has few production spheres where copper is abundantly used.”
Resultedly the growth is conditioned by the growing tendency in
watch production” Professor sums up.
