RAFFI HOVANNISIAN: SUREN KHACHATRIAN, PEOPLE DEMAND YOUR RESIGNATION

The leader of Heritage Party Raffi Hovannisian continues touring
Armenian regions. He has met with residents of the city of Kapan in
Syunik province.

Addressing the Syunik Governor Suren Khachatrian in his speech, R.
Hovannisian said he respects the path the governor has followed.

“But you should know that Nzhdeh, Kapan, and Armenia will not tolerate
falsifications. People, we should respect this man’s past, but we
should understand that the past is the past. You chose your future on
February 18. Mr. Khachatrian , today it is the people, rather than me,
who demand your resignation because it is wrong to falsify votes of
the people,” Raffi Hovannisian stated.

His speech was interrupted by a group of citizens who said they are
quite satisfied with activities of Governor Khachatrian and then
asked questions about foreign-policy programs of Raffi Hovannisian.

“Free speech should always be heard in Kapan’s square. The rights and
freedoms of the people should be respected by Mr. Khachatrian and Mr.

Sargsyan as well,” Raffi Hovannisian said.

The Heritage party leader noted that Kapan residents made their choice
on February 18. “Remember, no one will stifle your freedom in Kapan
anymore,” Raffi Hovannisian said in conclusion.
