RUSSIAN EXPERT: IN ITS RELATIONS WITH IRAN THE WEST IS ACTING ACCORDING TO THE PRINCIPLE “WHO IS STRONGER WINS”

In its relations with Iran the West is acting according to the
principle “who is stronger wins,” Vladimir Sazhin, senior researcher at
the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences,
said during a Moscow-Yerevan-Astana on Monday.

Sazhin believes that the West and Iran do not trust each other. “Iran
is demonstrating a new model of life – something the West does not
accept just because it accepts only its own model. And so, there can
be no trust between them,” the expert said.

“As regards Russia, its position is clear: it is against Iran’s steps
to enrich uranium but it is also against the attempts to solve this
problem by means of war,” Sazhin said, noting that Israel will hardly
be able to confront Iran on its own, and so, it is trying to form an
anti-Iranian coalition.

Sazhin doubts that Russia, the United States, China, France, the UK
and Germany will be able to do anything if the United States and Iran
fail to come to terms.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
