HOVANNISIAN CALLS ON CROWD TO WELCOME SARGSYAN TOMORROW AT FREEDOM SQUARE

At a rally this evening in Yerevan’s Freedom Square, Raffi Hovannisian
called on his supporters to return tomorrow to witness the arrival
of Serzh Sargsyan and the ultimate transfer of power to the people.

Hovannisian claims that he, not Sargsyan, won the February 18 election
for president.

The American-born Hovannisian, Armenia’s first minister of foreign
affairs, officially won some 37% of the vote to Sargsyan’s 58%.
