AZERBAIJAN RECOGNIZED NAGORNO-KARABAKH IN 1993

Azerbaijan’s “Umid” Party, Deputy Chief of Public Relations Officer
Aynur Imranova on her social network page posted a letter of the
Commissioner of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan Safar Abiyev
addressed to the Nagorno-Karabakh Defense Minister Samvel Babayan,
according to which Azerbaijan recognized Nagorno-Karabakh in 1993.

It is specifically mentioned in the letter: “The two sides are under
an obligation during 3 days, during which the leaders of Azerbaijan
and Nagorno Karabakh will gree about meeting, to stop attacking
each type of action, rocket, artillery attacks and air bombing”,

lie through negotiations.”
