L’astrophysicien arménien Beniamine Markarian honoré par la Banque
centrale d’Arménie

La Poste centrale d’Arménie vient d’émettre en ce début 2013 un
médaille commémorative en argent d’une valeur faciale de 1000 drams à
l’occasion du 100e anniversaire de l’astrophysicien arménien Beniamine
Markarian (1913-1985). Ce dernier fut célèbre au début des années 1970
avec la découverte de nombreuses galaxies très brillantes. La frappe
de cette monnaie arménienne fut réalisée aux Pays Bas en seulement 500
exemplaires.
