ARMENIA IS INTERESTED IN EXPLOITATION OF ABKHAZIAN RAILWAY: E. NALBANDYAN

YEREVAN, JANUARY 24, ARMENPRESS. Armenia is interested in the
opportunity to exploit the Armenia-Georgia-Abkhazia-Russia railway,
as it is of a certain importance for us. As reports “Armenpress”
the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Edward
Nalbandyan stated this during the press conference held on January 24.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Edward
Nalbangyan highlighted: “Armenia will spare no effort to find solution
of this issue.”

The Prime Minister of Georgia Bidzina Ivanishvili also spoke about
the opportunity of exploitation of the railway during the joint press
conference with the prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Tigran
Sargsyan, which was held in Yerevan. It has already been 20 years
since the Abkhazian railway has seized functioning because of the
Georgian-Abkhazian conflict. A number of attempts have been taken to
restore exploitation of the railway.
