SERZH SARGSYAN: WE WILL INTENSIFY THE EFFORTS TO ACHIEVE NAGORNO- KARABAKH’S INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION

Armenia will intensify the efforts to achieve Nagorno-Karabakh’s
international recognition, presidential candidate, current President
of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan said during his first meeting with voters.

He said that he is not an advocate of early recognition of the
Nagorno-Karabakh Republic by Armenia as this would mean refusal to
take part in the peace talks and might lead to a new war, which will
be bad for all parties to the conflict.

Sargsyan said that it is Azerbaijan who is curbing the peace process
and keeps rejecting the OSCE Minsk Group’s proposals. “The Azeri
authorities are sowing the seeds of enmity and nationalism,” the
President said.
