GAGIK BEGLARYAN ABOUT THE REASONS FOR REFUSAL OF THE MAYOR

Transport Minister Gagik Beglaryan unexpectedly has agreed to talk
about the reasons for refusal of the Mayor of Yerevan.

When asked by the journalist of the newspaper “Zhohovurd” what happened
on December 4, 2010, the day after the famous concert Placido Domingo,
Beglaryan said:

“Men’s conversation between two men, one was Gagik Beglaryan, the
other Kandayan Aram.

No one else was present at the meeting.

So far, neither Gagik Beglaryan nor Aram Kandanyan did not make
any statements.

There were no records and evidence.

And all the talks and rumors spread in the press and on television,
were refused by the Press Secretary of the President.”

Beglaryan assured that there were not beating and abduction: “Since
they set off false information, people thought Kandayan was in
the basement of “Metaks” that he was kidnapped and taken away from
Armenia or subjected to severe beating. But at this time between us
held a normal conversation … We even had tea together. Incidentally,
it should be noted that he is a good companion.”

Note, that after Placido Domingo’s concert, rumors spread that the
Mayor of Yerevan Gagik Beglaryan arranged fight with Deputy Chief of
Protocol of President Aram Kandayan.

The world-famous tenor’s concert attended senior officials and
President Serzh Sargsyan. Tickets to the concert officials handed
from the Minister of Culture Hasmik Poghosyan.

Among the guests were the Mayor of Yerevan Gagik Beglaryan with his
wife. However, the mayor did not go to a concert, and gave tickets
to his wife, who invited her friend to the event. The Mayor’s wife
and her friend came in the Sport and Concert Complex after Karen
Demirchyan, sat on the chair, standing next to the place prepared
for the President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan.

According to Protocol, in these seats can only sit Catholicos of
all Armenians, the Parliament Speaker and Prime Minister, says the
Armenian media. An employee of the Protocol Department Kandayan turned
to Gagik Beglaryan’s wife and asked to change seats.

Such a request angered Yerevan Mayor’s wife, and she complained to
the Mayor. Beglaryan, deciding to punish Kandayan, beat him after
the concert.
