YEREVAN, DECEMBER 1, ARMENPRESS: A video has been spread all over the
Turkish media about the Armenian cemetery found between Siirt (Sghert)
and Eruh provinces during construction works. Armenpress reports
referring to Turkish Hurriyet. Bones and images of the Armenian
cemetery are presented in the video made by the Turkish agency.
Resident of the nearest village told the agency that the cemetery had
been found during the road construction works, noting that not far
from the road there was a church so the grave was a Christian. `Our
grandfathers told us that these territories used to belong to
Armenians so we conclude that the cemetery is also Armenian’ he said.

Villagers were concerned about the cemetery which had been opened
there for more than a month and government yet did nothing on this
issue which the villagers considered to be `shame’ and `sin’.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
