REPUBLICAN MP DISSATISFIED WITH THE AMOUNT OF DONATED MONEY

Republican party MP Hamlet Harutyunyan said he is dissatisfied with the
amount of money donated by Diaspora Armenians at the annual telethon
of Hayastan All-Armenian Fund.

“I am dissatisfied with the provided money as having such a strong
Diaspora we have gathered less than 21 million USD of which 11 million
has been gathered in Moscow,” he said.

Asked whether it means the Diaspora has been disappointed and is not
sure whether the provided money serves its purpose or not, the MP
did not agree.

“If we manage to create such impression that the money goes to the
pockets of different people that is why they do not want to give, how
it happens that villages are blossoming. Water pipes, schools, roads
are being built. Every time passing by Goris-Stepanakert highway I
express gratitude to those who assisted in its construction,” he said.
