MP: SYRIA DEVELOPMENTS UNDERMINE IRAN’S POLITICAL INTERESTS

November 20, 2012 – 16:44 AMT

PanARMENIAN.Net – The developments in Syria are detrimental to Iran’s
foreign policy, Iranian MP Karen Khanlarian said.

“The ongoing processes in Syria are different from the political
scenarios in Egypt and Libya,” he said, ruling out the reoccurrence
of the Arab Spring in Syria.

The MP further noted it difficult to make forecasts on Syrian
developments.

“As for Iran, it stresses the need for reforms in Syria, deeming
them possible exclusively through internal forces rather than foreign
intervention,” Khanlarian said.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
