ETHICS COMMITTEE OF ARMENIAN PARLIAMENT: SAMVEL ALEXANYAN HAS BROKEN PARLIAMENTARY ETHICS RULES

The Ethics Committee of the Armenian Parliament believes that MP
Samvel Alexanyan has broken the parliamentary ethics rules.

Chairman of the Committee, opposition MP Nikol Pashinyan said on
Thursday that the Committee has considered the complaint by public
activist Vardges Gaspari against Alexanyan and has found out that
the latter has actually broken the parliamentary ethics rules.

To remind, following the incident in Harsnakar restaurant, when a group
of security guards beaten military doctor Vahe Avetyan so severely
that he later died in the hospital, Gaspari appeared in front of the
parliament building with a poster saying that Ruben Hayrapetyan (the
owner of the restaurant) was a murderer. Alexanyan saw the poster and
grabbed it from Gaspari. When the latter called Alexanyan a “hooligan,”
an unknown man knocked him down to the ground. Later that man said
that he had nothing to do with Alexanyan.
