ALI HASANOV: “SERZH SARGSYAN’S STATEMENT AIMS TO MASK ARMENIA’S MILITARISTIC POLICY”

Baku. Hafiz Heydarov -APA. “Against the background of the European
integration of Azerbaijan and Georgia, Armenia is arming from day
to day and threatens the neighboring states with its weapons,” chief
of socio-political department of the Presidential Administration Ali
Hasanov said, APA reports.

Commenting on Armenian President’s statement that Azerbaijan is
preparing for the war, Ali Hasanov said Serzh Sargsyan’s statement
has two goals:

“First, scaring the people before the elections he plans to come to
power again. On the other hand, his statement aims to mask Armenia
militaristic policy in the region. You know that first of all Armenia
is pursuing militaristic policy in the South Caucasus. Having occupied
Nagorno Karabakh, Armenia is pursuing the policy of mass arming in
the region beyond the control of the world law and international
organizations. For years we have been stating at the UN that there is
a fact of mass arming, illegal drug trafficking and militarization
in Nagorno Karabakh’s territory, which is beyond the international
control.

Moreover, Armenian state is becoming militarized and aggressive. They
are pursuing policy through the military hardware deployed in the
occupied territories,” he said.
