CZECH SENATE PRESIDENT: CZECH BUSINESSMEN WILLING TO MAKE INVESTMENTS IN ARMENIA

Armenian National Assembly speaker Hovik Abrahamyan and Czech Senate
president Milan Å tÄ~[ch discussed Armenian-Turkish relations, Karabakh
issue and the situation in Syria during a meeting in Prague on Tuesday,
Armenian parliament’s press service said.

Hovik Abrahamyan noted that the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict should
be resolved by peaceful talks and within the OSCE Minsk Group. He
stressed that the Czech authorities have a balanced position on the
Caucasian conflicts, which is highly appreciated by Armenia.

The Armenian National Assembly speaker expressed the hope that the
Parliament of the Czech Republic will recognize the Armenian Genocide
by 2015.

Hovik Abrahamyan invited the Czech Senate president to pay an official
visit to Armenia, and the invitation was accepted.

At a press briefing after the meeting, the Czech Senate president
stated that he knows that Armenia is a country that has ancient history
and is the first country to adopt Christianity as a state religion.

Milan Å tÄ~[ch noted that the Czech Republic is ready to assist
Armenia’s European integration. Czech businessmen are willing to make
investments in Armenia, he stressed.
