WORLD KNOWN FILM DIRECTORS TO LECTURE FOR ARMENIAN FILM DIRECTING STUDENTS

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 25, ARMENPRESS: The reception of “film directing
high courses” launched by Yerevan State Institute of Theater and
Cinema and “Armenian Art Cinema” is completed. As Roman Balayan,
People’s Artist of Ukraine, the director of the courses told in the
briefing with the journalists , the courses are scheduled to kick off
on November 1, in the frame of which the students will be enabled a
chance to participate in master classes by Artavazd Peleshyan, Emir
Kusturica, Luc Besson, Wim Wenders, Pedro Almodovar and Kim Ki-duk
and other world known film directors, Armenpress reports.

Roman Balayan, the mastermind of conducting “film directing high
course” is hopeful the elected seven students will become good
directors, specialists in their field. Over 40 students submitted
their applications to participate in the courses, whether only eight
were elected.

In the words of the interlocutor there are interesting, brilliant
individuals, who can invest new approaches in film making. The names
of the lucky fellows will be known on October 25, evening.
