Iranian Energy Minister Majid Namjou, heading a 37-member delegation,
is scheduled to hold talks with Armenian high-ranking officials.

In December 2011, Iranian President Ahmadinejad and his Armenian
counterpart Serzh Sargsyan signed five cooperation agreements and
memorandums of understanding in Yerevan.

Building and operating hydroelectric power plants on Aras River
which runs along the two countries’ border, cooperation between
national standards institutes of the two sides, cooperation in the
social welfare sector, and cooperation in the field of environment
protection were among the agreements.

Armenian Ambassador to Iran Grigor Arakelyan has said that trade
turnover between Tehran and Yerevan grew up by 40 percent, reaching
to $300 million last year.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
