ARMENIAN-IRANIAN RELATIONS ARE ON A HIGH LEVEL: ARMEN MOVSISYAN

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 25, ARMENPRESS. The 11th session of the
intergovernmental committee of the Republic of Armenia and Islamic
Republic of Iran is over. The Iranian Minister of Energy Majid Namjoo,
who arrived to Armenia and the Minister of natural Resources of the
Republic of Armenia Armen Movsisyan signed the memorial document of
mutual understanding of the 11th session of the intergovernmental
committee of the Republic of Armenia and Islamic Republic of Iran.

As reports “Armenpress” Armen Movsisyan mentioned that in frames of
the session they had a good opportunity to sum up the work done after
the previous session and clarification of the agenda for the next
year. The Minister of natural Resources of the Republic of Armenia
Armen Movsisyan said: “I am glad to say that the Armenian-Iranian
relations are on a high level and our relations are developing in the
atmosphere of mutual respect and reliance.” In his opinion the main
topics of the discussion were about three issues: the construction of
the third high voltage electric line, Hydro Electric Station of Meghri
and the construction of railway station.

The intergovernmental committee of the Republic of Armenia and Islamic
Republic of Iran was initiated in 1992 alongside with the
establishment of diplomatic relation between the two countries.
