Archbishop Aris Shirvanian Elected Acting Patriarch of Jerusalem

The General Assembly of the St. James Brotherhood in Jerusalem has
elected Archbishop Aris Shirvanian as Acting Patriarch following the
death of Patriarch Torkom Manoogian.

An election for a new Patriarch is scheduled after the 40 days repose
of Patriarch Manoogian.
