THE GOVERNOR OF ALEPPO EXPRESSED HIS GRATITUDE TO ARMENIA FOR HUMANITARIAN AID

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 17, ARMENPRESS. The procedure of assortment of
humanitarian aid parcels for distribution to the needy Syrians of
Aleppo has already started. As reports “Armenpress” citing Syrian
SANA agency governor of Aleppo Mohammed Uahid Akkad declared that
this humanitarian aid from Armenia is to prove fraternal relations
between these two countries. The Governor expressed is gratitude to
Armenia and the Armenian people for supporting Syria.

Director of Red Half-Moon organization of Aleppo Haeel Aasi said,
that in cooperation with Embassy of the Republic of Armenia and
National Prelacy they arranged the list of all those Syrian families
to receive these parcels. The aid will be distributed mostly to those
families that were damaged during the clashes.

We had information before that the aid was transported to the Armenian
club “Aram Manoukyan”, where Primate of Aleppo Bishop Shahan Sargsyan,
Concul General of the Republic of Armenia in Aleppo Karen Grigoryan,
as well as a large number of photographers and reporters were present.

On October 15 Armenian cargo carrying airplane of “Air Armenia”
transported 14 tons of food to Aleppo.
