Interoperability level of the Armenian and NKR anti-aircraft defense tested

Yerevan/Mediamax/. 45 thousand military servicemen took part in the
strategic command and staff exercises held across Armenia on October
1-13, Head of the Operative Department of the General Headquarters of
the Armenian Armed Forces, Major-General Artak Davtyan said this
today.

He said that the subdivisions of the NKR Defense Army also took part
in the exercises. In particular, interaction between the forces of
anti-aircraft defense of the two republics taking into account the
quantitative growth of the rival’s aviation has been organized.

The Head of the Combat Training of the General Headquarters, Major
General Ishkhan Matevosyan said that `no preparatory works on military
confrontation on the rival’s part are currently observed’. He added
that the bellicose statements of the rival are meant for `domestic
consumption’.

Spokesman for the Defense Minister Artsrun Hovhannisyan noted that the
CSTO exercises held in Armenia and the strategic command and staff
exercises of the Armenian Armed Forces aren’t related to the possible
restart of military actions.
