OSKANIAN GOT RID OF PAP

Ethnographer Hranush Kharatyan posted on her Facebook wall her
thoughts on developments around Vartan Oskanian. According to her,
it is interesting that during the discussion of the so-called “case”
of Vartan Oskanian the prosecutor general stressed that they are
guided by the wish to restore the good name of the Huntsmans, though
the Huntsmans don’t think their good name is stained by Oskanian’s act.

The interesting thing is that in reality the name of the Huntsmans has
been mentioned inappropriately more than once in the Armenian media.

His being a Mormon is always presented as a disadvantage, and Huntsman
is considered a person who spreads the American influence.

According to her, Huntsman has been used by Armenia since the 1988
earthquake. No official in Armenia has ever reacted to media reports
on Huntsman’s being a Mormon when the media covered his charities.

Now, Oskanian is found to be the one who defames Huntsman’s good name.

Hranush Kharatyan writes that the notorious Republican MPs did two
good things. They deprived the PAP of Vartan Oskanian and deprived
Vartan Oskanian of the wish to change the PAP. According to Kharatyan,
Vartan Oskanian would prefer the evolutionary way of changes through
the RPA than the obligation to change the government by means of the
PAP. The ethnographer says Vartan Oskanian will be grateful to the
RPA MPs and he is already grateful to PAP.
