DECISION TO EXTRADITE SAFAROV SIGNALED FIASCO OF EUROPEAN VALUES, NAIRA ZOHRABYAN

“The decision to extradite Safarov signaled the fiasco of the European
values and justice. Criminal Safarov became not only the indicator
for the impartiality of the European justice but also one of greatest
shames of Europe which follows human values”, said Naira Zohrabyan,
Prosperous Armenia MP, Chairwoman of the NA standing committee on
European integration, at the CoE PA session in Strasburg.

Naira Zohrabyan also said that Azerbaijan buys European officials
with its oil and caviar. “Some of these officials are now in this
hall and they are not ashamed of holding the title of the Azeri
“caviar eaters”, said Zohrabyan. The Armenian MP said that in case
Europe does not take up decisive steps toward Azerbaijan, the European
values and justice will be threatened. “I think it should be clear
to everyone hereinafter that Karabakh can’t ever be within a state
which considers an ethnic crime heroism”, said Naira Zohrabyan.

Naira Zohrabyan finished her speech with the words of Azeri publicist
Yusif Sufin: “With this step, Azerbaijan boosted its image of who
glorifies murderers in international structures. So it is just
necessary to ask ourselves whether a country glorifying murderers
has its place in our family”, said Zohrabyan.
