BUNDESTAG VICE CONTENT WITH THE ESTABLISHMENT OF DIPLOMATIC RELATIONS WITH ARMENIA

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 1, ARMENPRESS: Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan
hosted Wolfgang Thierse Vice-President of the Bundestag on October 1.

As Armenpress was informed from the Armenian presidential press
office Serzh Sargsyan has highlighted that Armenia highly evaluates
the friendly relations with Germany and the further development of
the cooperation. The Head of the country believes that mutual visits
and discussions on bilateral collaborations in different spheres
are conducive for the strengthening of cooperation. At the same time
they have positive influence on politicians as well as on business
world and peoples of the two countries in general. Serzh Sargsyan
hoped that the visit of Wolfgang Thierse would be another impetus
for the development of Armenian-German relations and especially for
the deepening of inter-parliamentary cooperation.

Wolfgang Thierse expressed his satisfaction on the 20 year lasting
diplomatic relations of Armenia and Germany and highlighting that
interaction of FRG Bundestag and Armenian NA should be more activated.

That would be helpful for German deputies to form a right concept
of the regional and Armenian issues. Interlocutors have discussed
different regional issues as well as challenges during the meeting.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
