ARMENIAN NATIONAL CARRIER SALE TERMS STILL UNCERTAIN

YEREVAN. – The date of the deal on the sale of the Armenian national
carrier Armavia is still unclear, Spokesperson for the Armavia Nana
Avetisova told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

According to her, several companies expressed interest to buy
the company, one of them is Italian, however, the issue is still
negotiated.

The owner of the air company Mikhail Baghdasarov intends to sell the
company to the Italians, as Armenian Hraparak newspaper reports. The
company is on sale due to financial problems. The Zvartsnots airport
has for several times suspended the flights of the company as it
exceeded the agreed level of debt.
