ARMENIAN ARTIST’S MEMORIAL PLAQUE OPENS IN AKHALTSIKHE

A solemn opening ceremony of a memorial plaque for the Armenian artist
Vahram Gayfejyan was held in Akhaltsikhe, Georgia on September 22.

Armenian Ambassador to Georgia Hovhannes Manukyan, governor of
Samtskhe-Javakheti Ivane Tsiklauri, representative from the Armenian
Diaspora Ministry Taron Shagoyan, representatives of the Georgian
diocese of the Armenian Apostolic church and Armenian community
members participated in the ceremony, Armenian MFA reports.

The memorial plaque was installed at the initiative of Creative Union
of Akhaltsikhe headed by Aleksandr Igitkhanyan. The opening of the
memorial was followed by a concert.
