OLAND AND ALIYEV WILL DISCUSS KARABAKH CONFLICT ISSUE

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 18, ARMENPRESS: The key issues to be discussed
during the official visit of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev
to France with the President of France Francois Oland is the Nagorno
Karabakh conflict issue. As reported by Armenpress, quoting the
Azerbaijani 1news.az, it was informed by the Head of the Department
on Social and Political Issues of the Presidential Administration of
Azerbaijan Ali Hasanov.

“During any official visits of the Azerbaijani President one of the
key issues is the Karabakh issue and this visit to France is not
exclusion. France is one of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-chair countries
and during the meeting with the President of France the interlocutors
will discuss the current situation in the Nagorny Karabakh and the
conflict settlement prospects”, – said Hasanov. According to him,
during the meeting the work carried out by the OSCE Minsk Group and the
positions of Armenia and Azerbaijan in this issue will be evaluated.

The President of Azerbaijan arrived in France on September 17. On the
occasion of the visit of the Azerbaijani President a rally will be held
in front of the Azerbaijani Embassy and the Armenians will express
their indignation towards the Azerbaijan’s policy and the decision
to receive Aliyev in France. As Armenpress was earlier informed
by the Head of the French Office of the “Armenian Cause” of France
Hrach Varzhapetyan: “This time we should express our discontent more
franticly. The action will be attended by many Armenians, who will act
with united behaviour and trait”, – said Hrach Varzhapetyan adding that
the rally had a political importance. As in the previous two years, now
as well, the Armenian community of France will continue demanding from
France to recognize the independence of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic.

On the ocassion of the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s arrival and
planned actions the Coordination Council of Armenian Organizations
of France (CCAF) spread a special press release, which says:
“Granting pardon to the murderer by the Azerbaijani President is
clear encouragement of barbarism and anti-Armenianism. These events
are the continuation of the genocidal logic of the Azerbaijani regime,
which gets armed more and more for full destruction of the Armenians
of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic. To receive Aliyev in these conditions
means to support his anti-Armenian policy. Ilham Liyev, who disregards
the international rights, should not be received in the Elysee Palace.

Aliyev, whose regime demolished the Armenian cultural heritage, in
particular 4000 Armenian cross-stones in Hin (Old) Jugha, should not
be received in Louvre”.

The meeting of the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev with the
President of France Francois Oland is intended to take place on
September 19.
