ARMENIA AND NKR PARLIAMENTS TO HOLD ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSION

At the initiative of Armenia’s ruling Republican Party, the inaugural
roundtable discussion will be held Saturday, in Nagorno-Karabakh
Republic (NKR) capital city Stepanakert, among Armenia’s and NKR’s
political parties that are represented in the parliaments of both
states.

The event will be held under the theme of “Political parties in
modern-day democratic systems.”

The roundtable’s objective is to discuss the contemporary political
parties’ role and their peculiarities within information society,
the avenues for cooperation among the parties of the two Armenian
states, the parties’ contribution to democratic reforms, and their
engagement in foreign policy.

The roundtable discussion will be held at NKR National Assembly,
and NKR President Bako Sahakyan will welcome the discussants with
opening remarks.
