ARMENIANS OF CRIMEA CRITICIZE HUNGARY’S GOVERNMENT FOR SAFAROV’S HANDOVER

Representatives of the Armenian community of Crimea strictly criticized
the Hungarian government for the extradition of axe-murderer Ramil
Safarov, crimea24.info reports.

The Union of Armenians of Crimea conducted a protest rally at a
monument dedicated to Aivazovsky brothers in Simferopol.

The demonstrators criticized the short-sighted policy of Hungary’s
government and illegal and immoral actions of the Azerbaijani president
Ilham Aliyev.

They called on the international community, leaderships of Ukraine
and Crimea to give adequate assessment of what has happened.

The participants of the rally also hold posters demanding resignation
of Hungary’s government.

They sent their letters of protest to the Hungary’s ambassador to
Ukraine and consul general.

In the letters the Armenian community expressed its concerns over
the tension created between Armenia and Hungary after Safarov’s
extradition.
