YEREVAN. – Hungary’s extradition of Ramil Safarov and his being granted
pardon in Azerbaijan very badly impact the negotiating process of
the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Armenia’s FM Edward Nalbandian stated
during his joint news conference Tuesday with Argentinean Minister
of Foreign Affairs and Worship, Hector Marcos Timerman.

“Overall, this incident has a very bad affect on regional stability
and security. But it is not Armenia which attempts to leave the
negotiations, to fail the talks; these are done by Azerbaijan, and one
of the very causes for this arrangement is that Azerbaijan continues
those attempts,” Nalbandian noted and added: “It is Azerbaijan that
rejects all the proposals by the [OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs]. You
know our response to those proposals.”

As per Nalbandian, “that practice which Azerbaijan manifests for
years on end is aimed at failing the talks.”

“What’s most important is for the international community to not
tolerate, to not permit Azerbaijan to continue this venturesome policy
under the guise of negotiation process,” Armenia’s FM stated.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
