Armenian Chess Players in Botvinnik Memorial

At Botvinnik memorial held in Saint Petersburg Armenian GM Robert
Hovhannisyan scored 9 points out of 11 and shared 1-2 places together
with GM Evgeny Alekseev (Russia)at the blitz tournament that was held
within the framework of Botvinnik Memorial. By the tie-break
Hovhannisyan took the second prize.

Armenian GM Zaven Andriasian scored 8, GM Avetik Grigoryan, IM Vahe
Baghdasaryan – 7 points each.

130 chess players took part in the tournament. Among them there were
35 grandmasters. The main tournament begins on August 25, 2012.
