Independence declaration kept in Armenian History Museum

YEREVAN, AUGUST 23, ARMENPRESS: The original of Independence
Declaration of the Republic of Armenia is the country’s modern history
best exhibit.

As new and modern history Museum department head Seda Galstyan told in
the briefing with Armenpress,still in 1996 exhibition when there was
an intention to launch exhibition entitled ”Three Republics”‘ Museum
was provided with Declaration and pencil, with the help of which then
country’s President Levon Ter-Petrosyan signed it.

“‘Since then we are exhibiting one of our best materials pertain to
third Republic, which arises great interest among the visitors, it is
great value original” Galstyan stated .

Twenty years ago Supreme Council of Armenia in its first session
admitted ” Armenian Declaration of Independence ” on August 23, which
initiated Armenian Declaration process. In Declaration political
department, ASSR was renamed Republic of Armenia (Armenia).
