Armenia hosts first Eurasian Youth Forum

14 states will take part in the first Eurasian youth Forum in
Armenia’s Tsakhnadzor to discuss problems and prospects of the
Eurasian Union. This includes socio-economic problems, history and
culture, military and politics, ethnics and confessions, law,
information space, RIA Novosti reports.

Mukhtar Amirov, Director of the center for information and analysis of
the Committee for Youth Policy of Dagestan, said that formation of the
Eurasian Union will be the highlight of discussions. A resolution will
be passed at the end on the forum on August 27.

Vage Enfiajan, head of the organization committee of the forum and a
member of the Armenian parliament, said that the three main aspects of
the forum are young journalists, young businessmen and young
politicians.

Presidents Dmitry Medvedev (Russia), Alexander Lukashenko (Belarus)
and Nursultan Nazarbayev (Kazakhstan) signed a road map on integration
to form the Eurasian Economic Union in Moscow in November 2011.

The idea to form the Eurasian Union was proposed by Nazarbayev in
1994. Putin called the Customs Union and the Single Economic Space of
Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan the basis for formation of the Eurasian
Union in his article in early October 2011.

The article stated that the Eurasian Union was planned as a connector
of Europea and the Asian-Pacific Region.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
