Atrpatakan Diocese of Armenia to help Iran earthquake sufferers

YEREVAN, AUGUST 16, ARMENPRESS: Atrpatakan Diocese of the Armenian
Apostolic Church will provide humanitarian aid to Iran earthquake
sufferers left without shelter. As Atrapatakan Diocese of Armenia
national primacy told Armenpress, just on the following day of
earthquake Diocese Supreme Archbishop Grigor Chiftechyan and Diocese
council undertook humanitarian assistance gathering, joining Red
Crescent.
Armenian community representatives each within its capacities take
food, clothing, woolen coverlets as well as drinking water to the
National Primacy: during calamity water becomes turbid. Financial
assistance was also provided to the bereaved.
Collected assistance by the efforts of Primacy is scheduled to be sent
to sufferers partially.
The strong earthquake hit Iran on August 11 at 16:23. The strength of
the earthquake in the epicenter was 9 magnitudes.
