YEREVAN.- Armenia will approve five-star deluxe category for hotels.
The draft decision was presented by Deputy Economy Minister Ara
Petrosyan.

During the government session, Petrosyan presented draft amendments to
the Law on Tourism and Tourism Activities and to the Law on State Tax.

A new category of hotels is offered in order to develop luxe tourism
market. Economy Ministry’s licensing agency is classifying hotels in
Armenia. Tax for `Five-Star Deluxe’ category hotels will be set at
about $3.6 thousand per year.

The Armenian News-NEWS.am reporter was told there are only two
five-star hotels in the Republic.

From: Emil Lazarian | Ararat NewsPress

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
