The presidential election in Nagorno-Karabakh on July 17, 2012,
was held in conformity with international standards, Mark Dietzen,
Head of the Americans for Artsakh observer mission, told journalists
on Wednesday.

He was among the 84 observers from Russia, Canada, France, Austria,
Cyprus, Hungary, Argentina, and the USA.

The presence of observers not only from the Caucasus, but also
from other countries was of high importance, Mark Dietzen said. He
was impressed by the high professional level of Artsakh election
committees.

Americans for Artsakh welcomes the high voter turnout and successful
elections in Nagorno-Karabakh.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
