PROTEST ACTION TO TAKE PLACE IN FRONT OF PRESIDENTIAL RESIDENCE IN ARMENIA

YEREVAN. – The Set Free Congress Youth opposition Armenian National
Congress (ANC) youth initiative will organize a protest action in
front of the Presidential Residence on Wednesday.

The initiative demands to justify the four opposition ANC activists,
including Artak Karapetyan, Davit Kiramijyan, Tigran Arakelyan and
Sargis Gevorgyan and to set free Tigran Arakelyan. In addition, it
demands to close criminal cases instigated against other ANC activists.

To note, the court cast the verdict for the four opposition activists
on July 20. The court sentenced Arakelyan for 6, Karapetyan for 3,
Gevorgyan and Kiramijyan for 2 years of imprisonment.
