DEVELOPMENT TENDENCIES OF TOURISM IN ARTSAKH ARE PROMISING

In the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic tourism resources are sufficient
for drastically increasing the role of the sphere in the volume of
goods and services export. The targeted state policy has already
given positive results.

Survey results showed that 86,6% of people visiting Artsakh are of
Armenian origin. About half of them are Armenian citizens and ¼ of
them are Russian citizens.

42,4% of tourists arrived in Nagorno-Karabakh to visit their relatives
and friends, 41,3 % for rest and entertainment, and only 11,3% of
them visited for business purposes. One tourist stayed on average 9
days in Artsakh spending 66,500 AMD.
