Karabakh presidential candidate Vitaly Balasanyan met today in
Kashatagh with few families that moved there from Syria.

The candidate discussed with them issues of the Syrian Armenian
community and the issues the families settled in Artsakh face.

According to a press release of Balasanyan’s headquarter, the
presidential candidate stressed that homeland-Diaspora relations must
be based on principle of reciprocity.

The Diaspora has provided extended assistance to Arstakh and the time
has come for Arstakh to be actively engaged in Armenian-identity
preservation affairs. The Artsakh presidential candidate said the
Armenians living in Syria are in danger and Artsakh should be seriously
concerned with their fate.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
