80,000 OFFICIALLY UNEMPLOYED

Pastinfo: According to the data provided by the National Statistics
Service, the official number of unemployed people in Armenia amounts to
2.5% of the total population, 7% of the economically active population
(except age 0-16).

Over 80,000 people are officially jobless. This data has been almost
the same for the past few years.

In the first five months of this year, the unemployment benefit was
AMD 16,500 in January, 16,235 in February, 15,883 in April and 16,139
in May.
