YEREVAN. – Armenia exports wild water animals to Europe. On Thursday
the Government affirmed the certificates on the animals’ health
condition. Some experts consider that by saying ‘wild water animals’
the Government means wild crayfish, but other experts do not agree
with that.

The director of Armenian ‘Bird Lovers’ Union’ Silva Adamyan told
Armenian News-NEWS.am that in order to have wild water animals one
must have a sea.

To note, in 2003 the Government was issuing those certificates for
fish and fish products but now they are being handed out for ‘wild
water animals’. To note, annually Armenia exports 800-1000 tons of
wild crayfish to Europe.

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
