NEW WAYS OF IMPLEMENTING TRACEKA PROGRAMS WILL BE SEARCHED FOR IN ARMENIA

YEREVAN, JUNE 29, ARMENPRESS: Minister of Transport and Communication
of Armenia Gagik Beglaryan hosted the Secretary General of the
Permanent Secretariat of the Intergovernmental Commission TRACECA
Eduard Biryukov. Armenpress was informed from the ministry of
Transport and Communication that during the conversation Eduard
Biryukov introduced to the minister the implemented works in Armenia
in the framework of TRACEKA program and prospects of future activities.

More than 25 technical and investment programs have been implemented in
Armenia since it became the member of TRACEKA program. One of the last
programs is the project of creating a logistic centre near “Zvartnots”
airport. The most important program which is being implemented in
the Republic of Armenia is the creation of North-South road corridor.

During the meeting Minister of Transport and Communication Gagik
Beglaryan stressed the importance of the programs which are implemented
in Armenia by TRACEKA and informed that securing their continuity will
be under his attention. New ways will be searched to make Armenian
programs of TRACEKA more productive and intensive.
