YEREVAN

YEREVAN, JUNE 26, ARMENPRESS: Besides embassies, consulates,
international institutions, cultural companies, social organizations
also have great importance in the process of organizing the life of
Armenian Diaspora. In the framework of Austrian President’s visit to
Armenia about bilateral cultural ties Armenpress had an interview with
President of Armenian-Austrian cultural company, member of Austrian
branch of “Armenian all-Armenian fund Razmik Tamrazyan.

– Mr. Tamrazyan how do you estimate the level of cultural relations
between Armenia and Austria?

– The level of present Armenian-Austrian cultural relations and
cooperation is more due to the efforts of private organizations than
inter-state activities but it will not be right to totally exclude
inter-state participation in this issue.

– What expectations do you have from Austrian President Heinz Fischer’s
visit to Armenia?

– Surely Armenians in Austria have expectations and hopes that during
the visit besides the signing of treaty on economic cooperation there
will be arrangements on wide cultural cooperation.

– What plans are you going to implement in future?

– Organizing manuals towards the 100th anniversary of Armenian
genocide, taking the advantage of the visit of Austrian President to
Armenian recognition of Armenian Genocide by Austria.

From: Emil Lazarian | Ararat NewsPress

Emil Lazarian: “I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia . See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a New Armenia.” - WS
