PRESIDENT OF ARMENIA PROMISES LAWYERS TO SOLVE DISAGREEMENT WITH CASSATION COURT

YEREVAN. – A range of issues having direct connection to the lawyers’
activity were touched upon the discussions on the judicial system
reforms held at the President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, head of the
Chamber of Advocates of Armenia Ruben Sahakyan said on Thursday.

Asked whether the problem of return of complaints to the Cassation
Court was discussed, Sahakyan said that existing problems, conditioned
by the legislative faults, were indeed discussed. Due to it, the
Cassation Court cannot clearly act even in case of casting verdicts.

“The president assigned to make changes in the program so that
those issues were solved and lawyers needed no protest actions,”
Sahakyan added.
