14-year old boy hangs himself in Armenia’s Lori region

A 14-year old Artyom Vardanyan has committed suicide through hanging
in the attic of his house in the Lernantsk village of Spitak region of
Lori.

Photo journalist Gagik Shamshyan reports that according to the
neighbors, the child’s father is working in Russia, and mother is a
housewife. The parents have a daughter too. The boy was studying in
the secondary school of their village. The neighbors said 15 days ago
he had committed a suicide attempt, though the information is to be
clarified during the investigation.

Another neighbor told Shamshayn that few days ago Artyom was
enthusiastically telling his friend that his father is going to return
in a few days and buy a car for the family. According to the
neighbors, Artyom was irritable and touchy boy. Ten days ago his
mother bought a computer for him.
