Seyran Ohanyan Off To Astana For CSTO Defense Ministers’ Meeting

SEYRAN OHANYAN OFF TO ASTANA FOR CSTO DEFENSE MINISTERS’ MEETING

The delegation headed by Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan
left for Astana today to participate in the sitting of the Council
of Defense Ministers of the Collective Security Treaty Organization
(CSTO) scheduled for May 3.

Issues related to the organization of the “Cooperation-2012” joint
military exercises in Armenia in September, development and improvement
of military cooperation between CSTO member states will be discussed.

Within the framework of the visit Minister Ohanyan will have a meeting
with his Kazakh counterpart and will visit the Codex-2012 international
exhibition of armament and military equipment.

The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, will host the
participants of the sitting.
