OVER 20,000 BUILDINGS REQUIRE SEISMIC STRENGTHENING IN ARMENIA

YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Ministry of Urban Development offers technologies
to raise seismic reliability of the building according to the budget
means, ministerial press service informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Taken into account the Spitak city quake of late 1980s, the seismic
criteria were significantly raised. Moreover, the new standards
require seismic strengthening for over 20,000 buildings.
