OLGA KAZANSKAYA: WE SHOULD GIVE EXTRA IMPULSE TO DEVELOPMENT OF ECONOMIC RELATIONS BETWEEN YEREVAN AND ST.PETERSBURG

We should give extra impulse to development of economic relations
between Yerevan and St.Petersburg, vice-governor of St.Petersburg,
Olga Kazanskaya, told journalists in Yerevan today.

She recalled that the St. Petersburg’s Days kicked off in Yerevan
yesterday. “Within the frames of the Days we are going to, first of
all, discuss the economic cooperation issues”, – she said.

Kazanskaya also emphasized the importance of preservation and
development of the cultural relations. “Undoubtedly, the cultural
relations are very much important for us. By the way, the Armenian
Diaspora of St.Petersburg has been always distinguished, as it chiefly
consists of representatives of intelligentsia”, – she said.

For his part, Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan said that the cooperation
between Yerevan and St.Petersburg has been effectively developing in
the sphere of culture and education. Moreover, special attention was
drawn to the transport sphere and tourism development.

To note, Yerevan and St.Petersburg are twin-cities. The St.Petersburg
Days will be held on 25-27 April in Yerevan
