THE NATIONAL MINORITIES OF ARMENIA CALL ON TURKEY TO RECOGNIZE ARMENIAN GENOCIDE

YEREVAN, APRIL 24, ARMENPRESS: The national minorities living in
Armenia call on the Turkish Government to recognize Armenian Genocide.

The president of World Yezidi Union Aziz Tamoyan, while having an
interview with Armenpress, mentioned that every year they visit the
Cicernakaberd Memorial Complex and bend down before the memory of
the Armenian genocide victims. According to him, not only 1.5 million
Armenians were massacred by the Turks during 1915-1923, but 500 000
yezidis, as well.

“We condemn the Turkish denial policy. It is a rough crime. Turkey
must understand, that the whole world is with Armenia. They ought
to keep their bloody hands far away from the nations. We have been
standing next to Armenia and continue doing so” said Tamoyan.

The head of Kurdish community Knyaz Hasanov reminded, that Young
Turks’ government scheduled beforehand to annihilate 1.5 million
Armenians and made a Genocide. “On behalf of the Kurdish Community,
I am bending down before the memory of the innocent people and calling
for finding the power inside and recognize the Armenian Genocide and
apologize to the people “, he said.

The main rabin of Armenia Gershtan Burshtein mentioned, that all
genocides are the results of human indifference and silence. He notes
that he would be happy, if the authorities of his historical homeland
recognize the Armenian Genocide.
