ARMENIAN PRESIDENT CONGRATULATES ON YEZIDI NEW YEAR

YEREVAN. – Armenia’s President Serzh Sargsyan issued a congratulatory
message to the country’s Yezidi community, in connection with the
Yezidi New Year.

“This national festival is a beautiful opportunity to share one
another’s joy, to extend sincere good wishes to all representatives
of Armenia’s Yezidi community.

I am convinced that the existing warm relations between the Armenians
and the Yezidis will further strengthen and deepen in this new year.

The authorities of Armenia are responsible before all citizens of the
republic, but we feel a special responsibility toward the national
minorities.

I hope that the coming year becomes a year of plenitude and abundance,
success and joy for Armenia’s Yezidi community,” the President’s
message specifically reads.
